This unit contains modules on the objectives and applications of cutting edge “omic” approaches, including genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics and genotype to phenotype studies. The main academic objectives are for students to gain an understanding of how cutting-edge “omic” experiments are planned and carried out, and what information they reveal about the biology of the system being studied.
