This unit will provide a foundation in genetics discussing: the molecules involved in gene expression; DNA damage, mutation and repair; the control of cell number in higher organisms; molecular genetic mechanisms; transgenesis; and genetic technologies. Unit theory will be delivered in a flipped-classroom format, using pre-recorded lectures to deliver content.
