This unit models and promotes the active learning and teaching of mathematics in middle and upper primary school. Pre-service teachers will explore current evidence-based practices for promoting understanding, fluency, problem solving and reasoning, set within the content strands of number and algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics and probability, and with a focus on mathematics learning for Years 3–6.
